What's Involved in an Oven Installation
A professional oven installation is more involved than just sliding the unit into place. Here's what our team takes care of:
1) Site Assessment
We check that your existing circuit can handle the load of the new appliance. Modern ovens — particularly double ovens and high-wattage induction cooktops — often require a dedicated circuit. We'll identify this upfront so there are no surprises.
2) Safe Disconnection of Old Appliance
Your existing oven or cooktop is safely isolated and removed. We check wiring condition before proceeding.
3) New Circuit or Outlet (If Needed)
If the new appliance requires a higher amperage or a dedicated circuit, we install this to Australian Standards before the connection is made.
4) Installation & Connection
The appliance is correctly positioned, hardwired or connected via a compliant outlet, and secured to manufacturer specifications.
5) Testing & Sign-Off
We test the appliance before we leave and issue a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) where required under NSW law.
Ducted vs Recirculating Rangehoods

Ducted Rangehoods
Vent cooking fumes, steam and grease directly outside your home through ductwork. This is the most effective option for busy kitchens and those who cook frequently. Installation requires running ductwork to an external wall or roof — our team can assess the most practical route and complete the full job.
Recirculating Rangehoods
Filter air through activated charcoal and return it to the kitchen. No external ductwork needed, making them ideal for apartments or kitchens where ducting isn't practical. Less effective at removing steam, but suitable for lighter cooking.
